Hooks fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 14-2 loss to Elite on Saturday. Elite scored on a single by Chris Duckworth in the first inning, a single by Bryan Fedrick in the second inning, and a single by Trent Burgess in the second inning.

The Hooks struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Elite, giving up 14 runs.

Elite took the lead for good with two runs in the second inning. In the second Fedrick singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run and Burgess singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Elite scored five runs in the sixth inning. Dallas Guerrero, Eric Evans, Burgess, and Deiondre Malcom each drove in runs during the inning.

Jordan Cicalla led the Elite to victory on the pitcher's mound. The fireballer went seven innings, allowing two runs on five hits and striking out five.

Tanner Allred took the loss for Hooks. The pitcher allowed 11 hits and seven runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out four.

Hooks tallied five hits. Coleman Gamble and Andrew Lightfoot each racked up multiple hits for Hooks. Lightfoot and Gamble each collected two hits to lead Hooks.

Elite tallied 16 hits in the game. Michael LaLonde, Malcom, Christian Cleveland, Fedrick, and AJ Rios all managed multiple hits for Elite. Elite didn't commit a single error in the field. LaLonde had the most chances in the field with five.
