Hooks coasted to an easy victory over Stars 11-1 on Sunday
Hooks got things moving in the first inning, when an error scored two runs for Hooks.
Craig Molldrem got the win for Hooks. The fireballer lasted four innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out eight and walking one. Andrew Lightfoot threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Lightfoot recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Hooks.
Matthew Bohenek took the loss for Stars. The pitcher allowed nine hits and six runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out three.
Hooks saw the ball well today, racking up 13 hits in the game. Nick Zamora, Steven Mock, Daniel Zamora, and Dustin Thompson all managed multiple hits for Hooks. Mock and Zamora each collected three hits to lead Hooks.
Billy McDaniel led Stars with two hits in two at bats.
