It came down to the last play, but Hooks was on the wrong end of an 8-7 defeat to Bulldogs on Sunday. Bulldogs was down 7-6 in the bottom of the eighth inning when Christian homered on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.

Hooks lost despite out-hitting Bulldogs 11 to seven.

In the top of the seventh inning, Hooks tied things up at six. John Otterson doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.

Hooks scored three runs in the seventh inning. The offensive firepower by Hooks was led by Otterson and Josh Hopkins, all driving in runs in the inning.

Bulldogs scored five runs in the sixth inning. Bulldogs's big inning was driven by singles by Christian and Don and a home run by Josh Hinz.

Joe Solis took the win for Bulldogs. The fireballer surrendered three runs on three hits over one and one-third innings, striking out two. Jeremiah threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Daniel Zamora took the loss for Hooks. Zamora surrendered seven runs on four hits over two and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking one.

Mike started the game for Bulldogs. undefined surrendered four runs on eight hits over five and two-thirds innings, striking out six Derek Kennell started the game for Hooks. The southpaw went five innings, allowing one run on three hits and striking out seven

Bulldogs smacked two home runs on the day. Christian went for the long ball in the eighth inning. Hinz had a homer in the sixth inning.

Hooks collected 11 hits. Nick Zamora, Zamora, and Otterson each racked up multiple hits for Hooks. Zamora led Hooks with three hits in five at bats.

Bulldogs totaled seven hits in the game. Hinz and Christian all managed multiple hits for Bulldogs.
