Derek Kennell shut down Elite, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Hooks to a 11-0 victory on Sunday

John Otterson led Hooks to victory by driving in four runs. Otterson went 3-for-4 at the plate. Otterson drove in runs on a single in the first and a home run in the first.

Hooks fired up the offense in the first inning, when Otterson singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

One bright spot for Elite was a single by Deiondre Malcom in the first inning.

Kennell earned the victory on the mound for Hooks. Kennell surrendered zero runs on two hits over five innings, striking out five.

Dallas Guerrero took the loss for Elite. Guerrero allowed 15 hits and 11 runs over five innings, striking out three and walking one.

Hooks smacked one home run on the day. Otterson had a homer in the first inning.

Hooks tallied 15 hits on the day. Otterson, Nick Zamora, Coleman Gamble, Matt Bailey, and Daniel Zamora each managed multiple hits for Hooks. Otterson led Hooks with three hits in four at bats. Hooks didn't commit a single error in the field. Gamble had the most chances in the field with six.
