Hooks lost the lead late in a 9-3 defeat to Bulldogs on Sunday. The game was tied at three with Bulldogs batting in the top of the seventh when Josh singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

The Hooks struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Bulldogs, giving up nine runs.

In the first inning, Hooks got their offense started when Coleman Gamble doubled on a 3-0 count, scoring two runs.

Bulldogs evened things up at three in the top of the fifth inning when Josh's sac fly scored one run for Bulldogs.

After Bulldogs scored one run in the top of the third, Hooks answered with one of their own. Bulldogs scored when Josh singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run. Hooks then answered when an error scored one run for Hooks.

Josh earned the victory on the pitcher's mound for Bulldogs. The pitcher allowed seven hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out six.

Andrew Lightfoot took the loss for Hooks. Lightfoot allowed five hits and six runs over two innings, striking out four.

Matt Bailey started the game for Hooks. The righty lasted five innings, allowing three hits and three runs while striking out five

Hooks tallied seven hits in the game. Lightfoot and Gamble all had multiple hits for Hooks. Gamble and Lightfoot each managed two hits to lead Hooks.

Bulldogs tallied eight hits on the day. Josh and Don each racked up multiple hits for Bulldogs.
