Four hits from Coleman Gamble helped lead Hooks past Bulldogs 22-2 on Saturday. Gamble singled in the second, tripled in the third, singled in the fifth, and singled in the fifth.
Hooks got things started in the first inning. Gamble grounded out, scoring one run.
Hooks scored eight runs in the second inning. Nick Zamora, John Otterson, Daniel Zamora, Gamble, Steven Mock, and Dustin Thompson all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.
Derek Kennell took the win for Hooks. Kennell lasted six innings, allowing four hits and two runs while striking out eight.
Josh Hinz took the loss for Bulldogs. The bulldog lasted three innings, allowing 16 hits and 14 runs while striking out two and walking one.
Hooks totaled 26 hits. Zamora, Gamble, Zamora, Mock, Thompson, Otterson, Tanner Allred, and Matt Bailey each managed multiple hits for Hooks. Gamble and Zamora each collected four hits to lead Hooks.
Hinz led Bulldogs with two hits in three at bats.
