Hooks ran off with the lead late in the game in a 6-5 victory over Elite on Sunday. The game was tied at five with Hooks batting in the bottom of the sixth when Nick Zamora singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

In the first inning, Elite got their offense started when Christian drew a walk, scoring one run.

After Elite scored two runs in the top of the second, Hooks answered with two of their own. Elite scored when Jacob Salas singled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs. Hooks then answered when an error scored one run for Hooks and Rodney McDaniel grounded out, scoring one run.

Tanner Allred was the winning pitcher for Hooks. Allred allowed nine hits and five runs over six innings, striking out four. Andrew Lightfoot threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Lightfoot recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Hooks.

Jordan Cicalla took the loss for Elite. The bulldog surrendered six runs on six hits over six innings, striking out five and walking zero.

Daniel Zamora went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Hooks in hits.

Elite collected nine hits on the day. Eric Evans and Dallas Guerrero each managed multiple hits for Elite.
